This was my 1st project at Studio Vega Myst in Stafford. It was for a TV programme called ‘Inside Severn Valley Railway”, there were 6 parts focusing on various roles people have on the railway, i.e ‘Stationmaster’.
SVM had filmed about 70% of it and were mid-edit, needing a graphics artist.

I started working on a couple of concepts and the obvious thing to do was to animate old train station signs for the lower-thirds and to animate the various parts of the main logo.
I created a train station sign in photoshop and sent the layers to AE, added some nice ‘shimmers’ to the gold swatch and animated them moving in from the opposite side of the screen the ‘talking head’ was on.
Other work included motion tracking (to blur out number plates), fixing the exposure on a few shots, removing noise and colour grading.
